Love's all that?    

Love is an umbrella in life's cold dark storms, it's a sanctuary for the hated and scorned, love is an anchor for storm battered souls, it's a restorer of hope when the world has thrown you away, love is a sustainer of spirit that lift's our head above troubled waters, it's a renewer of faith for the broken hearted, love gives us the will to go on knowing the darkness will give way to dawn, love always seeks to understand, it always offers the best that it can, love does not set expectations to high and it never lets hope sink to low, love is a defender of the weak, it's gentle to the fragile, love vindicates love validates, love waits and love waits, love is constructive not destructive, love encourages not discourages, love excepts our limitations, it does not demand unachievable expectations, love is unselfish it care's about others, it will go out of it's way for a stranger and will never give up on a brother.

GOD SHE IS PRETTY

Head dangling, she peacefully rests her age away

Her armchair still carries the dent of children

their shadows keep it rocking

Her furrowed face drops no tears

for life is full with more blossoms coming

True, death stole two sons

but that screaming is past now, and they will unite soon enough

Her eyes cloaked with cataracts flutter open and glance at me quietly

amused at my childish stress

White slippers dangle from her feet

Her gnarled toes need no polish

their beauty lies in the steps of seven children

she carried in the wee hours of the morning

She raises slowly a little bent from roses set on graves

Nuzzling her slightly greased face against mine

she quietly explains, "Child you worry too much

time will have its way, and you will heal again"

Then she snuggles back too small for her armchair

and she whispers, "I love you"

- And God she is pretty

Heart Broken

When love first arrives, its fun and joyful. But when it dies, ur heart will for ever bleed. Too much pain to handle and what love has done you wont want to love again.

The emotions and tears, the laughter that you used have- have turned into fears. And you can't face the day or night. Locked up and keeping tight. Unaware of the world and what may happen, you struggle to lock your emotions inside. But soon you come through and happiness finds it's way, and again you wonder if love will eventually come and save you from that day.

When u look into my eyes i get a feeling that i can't explain.

It's like u take away all my fears and every bit of my pain.

5 MINUTES OF CONVERSATION BUT A LIFETIME OF HUMILIATION

   There we were at the schools pep rally.

 There we had a conversation that led us to your benz into the back of  the  alley.

 Me, not thinking or fighting temptations,

 He was on top of me giving me a demonstration.

 Even though i wanted him to stop it felt good.

 Not thinking I'd be talked about like the others would.

 
   The thought popped right into my head,

 I wondered what they would think of me now that i had did it to Ed.

 This would be all over school like "breaking news".

 After it was all over and done i felt the blues.

   Next day at school i had a problem that would turn into a bigger one,

 I ran to the bathroom to think about what i had done.

 By Friday it was all over the school.

 I was called "easy" and "fast" that just wasn't even cool.

   The topic of the year was about me and him in the back of the alley, after the schools pep rally.

 So 5 minutes of conversation turned into a life time of humiliation.

Will you love me forever?

Will you always be there to wipe away my tears?

Will you always smile when I tell you I love you?

Will you always be my baby?

Will you let me know?

Cuts, scars, bruises on my knees...

can someone tell me what's going on, please?

I've been running, hiding, trying to escape

I'd like to take some time and share with you what's on my mind

A reason for my fall, a story of how I almost lost it all.

I lived my life in hell, I thought I'd never get out, with a shattered heart and a mind full of doubt.

I traveled a road, so dark, so cold, so a demon consumed my soul.

A choice I clearly made, I never thought I could be saved.

I was far too gone from reality, failure and disaster seem to follow me

Everyone I loved I lost and almost paid a deadly cost.

With no hope left inside in this demon I did confide.

With two children at home with no mother...this shame believe me I know no other.

So there I laid lost, beaten, raped...in this hell I helped create

With nobody to call and help me, I prayed God, please show me the way help me see a path that lights up the night with an end to this hell within my sight.

Silence....self-pity I am consumed...emotions vacant....I thought I was doomed.

Suddenly, as I laid in that death bed....FORGET the drugs, call your Dad instead.

Boy, that was a blessing all in itself, I can't describe how I feel, how much it's helped.

I saw my kids that night, I finally knew I did something...SOMETHING right.

As I looked into my son's eyes, my heart broke I finally cried

In that second I was saved, and anything, ANYTHING for that moment I would have gave.

To hear those words that I hold dear..."MOM, I LOVE YOU....I'M SO GLAD YOUR HERE".
